Focus. Confidence. Respect. These are just a few of the Character Traits that define students enrolled at Villari’s Martial Art. Master Dave Grabner, Owner and Chief Instructor of the karate school, brings with him decades of Shaolin Kempo Karate experience. He becomes a mentor to his students, to teach men, women and children (ages 3 & up) the importance of self-discipline in order to build character and leadership qualities.
Villari’s Martial Arts offers two primary programs – the After-School Karate Program with free transportation and the Traditional Martial Arts Program with classes that can meet most busy schedules. Along with these programs, Villari’s Martial Arts also offers unique Character Development Programs such as Colors of Character. Speaking of unique, Villari’s is the only Martial Arts school in town with full indoor and outdoor security surveillance to ensure your child’s safety!
Colors of Character
This exclusive program found only at Villari’s, is an action-based system for helping your child develop the positive character traits that form the foundation of a successful future. Master Dave and his instructors pour a large amount of time and dedication to developing character and many other important mental skills in your child. Students enrolled in the program learn to develop and put into action the following traits:
- Self Discipline
- Self Control
- Respect – for self and others
- A “never-quit” attitude
- and much, much more!
How the program works is simple yet effective. Your child is given a special “Colors of Character” patch to display on their uniform. Along with the patch, they’ll receive a worksheet which is signed by you and the instructor, that your child fills out explaining how they put the “Three Rules” of Self-Discipline, Self-Control, and Respect into action at home, in school, or in the Dojo, or a mixture of all three! Once the Chief Instructor approves of the submission, your child is awarded their colored stripe which is then placed on the patch! As your child works their way towards earning a Black Belt, they earn these stripes along the way until their patch is complete. Once the patch is completely filled – they’re ready for the Black Belt examination!
“It’s always Villari’s goal to positively impact the community through the martial arts.” – master dave
